SUPER SPACE CAPSULE - HORIKAWA - JAPAN

Silver lithographed tin battery op capsule. The capsule is designed to sit upright on a red plastic base. There is a large orange clear plastic lighted nosecone on the top. Two doors are set into the sides. Corrugated skin pattern. Stop and go action. Capsule rotates and the two doors open to reveal astronaut.

It first appears in the Advance Stores Toys & Gifts Catalog for 1969.

There is a version called Super Apollo Space Capsule. It has an upper blue body, and the NASA logo has been replaced with lithographed thrusters. The box carries the Apollo wording.
