SPACE CAPSULE VERSION 1 - HORIKAWA - JAPAN

ADMINDATA

A silver grey lithographed tin battery operated capsule on distinctive protruding wheels. The body is covered with the slatted style design of the early capsules. A clear plastic window reveals the plastic astronaut inside. The nose is particularly long and thin. Red plate with engines at the rear. Marked United States. Bump and go action with orbiting astronaut. The box art shows a realistic picture of a spacewalk. Corrugated skin pattern.

There are two versions: the more common version with two yellow plastic astronauts, one inside and one orbiting on a wire, and a version with grey rubber astronauts.

Listed as new in the 1969 Horikawa catalog.
