CAPSULE 5 BLUE/WHITE VERSION - MASUDAYA - JAPAN

Tin battery operated space capsule. White top and a light blue bottom half with a distinctive red bulbous front assembly tipped with a white plastic nose cone. The front is surrounded by flashing colored lights. The capsule has a clear plastic window in the top containing a tin astronaut with a red light behind him. There are two large red cone structures on the sides, like engine intakes.

Space Capsule 5 wording on the side of the toy. Advances with mystery action, flashing lights and a beeping noise as the astronaut pilot moves back and forth. The box depicts the capsule's white and blue color scheme.Featured in the 1963 Masudaya catalog.
