FIRE ROCKET X-0077 - YONEZAWA - JAPAN
This is a unique rocket design from Yonewawa, a cross between a space rocket and jet plane. The box depicts a pilot sitting under a clear canopy but the toy reveals him perched high above the toy in the open air.
A blue lithographed in friction rocket with red detailing. 38cm long. The large fins resemble wings. Spark windows surround the rear exhaust. Circa 1960. Advances with siren and spark. The spring loaded nose piece launches the plastic astronaut into the air when the rocket bumps into something. This toy may have been inspired by the US X Planes.
