DOCKING ROCKET - DAIYA - JAPAN

ADMINDATA

This is one of Daiya's realistic looking space toys that reflects the latest developments in NASA space exploration. The wheeled silver tin and plastic battery operated rocket is attached by string to a white plastic Lunar Lander docking module.

The space craft moves forward on three wheels, the rear two providing power. The main space craft tows a secondary capsule behind it and whilst moving, reels in this attachment, this accompanied by suitable 'space rocket noise'. When full docking takes place electrical contacts are engaged and lights flash in the secondary craft. The rocket then releases the capsule on its lead, to trail behind some 8-10 inches and then continues as above, on a repeat routine.

Flashing lights, noise and rotating silver or light blue plastic antenna. The main rocket is 30cm long, the whole toy is 42cm.

Listed in the 1971 Azrak Hamway International catalog.
