SUPER ROBOT - HORIKAWA FOR DURHAM - JAPAN

ADMINDATA

Blue and red tin battery operated Attacking Martian based on Rotate-O-Matic body. Tin red body, tin blue split head, tin blue arms and legs, tin red feet. 29cm

The red fly eyes and the added chest litho indicate that this is a Super Robot rather than an Apollo 2000. The doors have a flat cross section instead of the "deep door" of the Apollo 2000.

The box does not carry the Horikawa logo - it was made for distribution by Durham Industries. This is a 1972 reissue/rebox of the 1969 Apollo 2000.

Horikawa released a Japanese box version of this robot carrying their own SH logo. This plastic battery box version is described as new for the US market in 1972 catalog.
