SUPER ASTRONAUT ROBOT JAPANESE BOX - HORIKAWA - JAPAN

Despite its name this is a Rotate-O-Matic robot. Tin battery operated Attacking Martian. Robot head with fly eyes. Opening chest doors and shooting guns.

Produced in black, blue, silver and gold versions. English and Japanese box versions shown. Squares and inverted red triangle door pattern. The Japanese name translates as "Super Mars King".

First sighted in the 1969 Higbee Christmas catalog.
