SUPER ASTRONAUT LATER STYLE - HORIKAWA - JAPAN

Japanese box version of the tin battery operated robot with rotating action, opening doors and shooting guns. It has the thicker arms and the silver hands. Also released with the hollow plastic arms. English and Japanese boxes.

This is a strange assembly. None of these are copied by SJM. The version with the chrome on the doors is art 5045 new in 1979 SH catalog known as "Super Robot. A ssilver head version is also shown.

The Super Astronaut yellow door version is a later robot; it appears as art 5068 in the 1985 catalog but is earlier - 1982-84
