Actions: The buttons on the head control the actions. Depressing the blue button causes the robot to walk forward until the red button is depressed causing it to stop. The yellow button in the middle activates the "sounding" device inside the robot. One of three different "space sounds" (various whistles and sirens) plays at random. the robot has very distinctive chrome silver ears that resemble small engines protruding at right angles.

Additional info.: * Sounding Robot has been sighted as early as 1981 in a Japan 1981 Catalog and as late as 1984 in a Horikawa Toys Catalogue. Embossed on the battery cover: MADE IN JAPAN". The robot is all plastic except for the soles of the feet, which is red painted tin.
Misc. comments: Sounding Robot shares many body characteristics with Shooting Space-Walker.
The earliest sighting to date is in the "Japan 1981" catalog.
