ROBOT (REMOTE CONTROL EASEL BACK ROBOT) - YONEZAWA - JAPAN

Lithographed battery operated remote control tinplate Easel back robot. Circa 1958. Advances with stepping motion. Light blue version with a distinctive yellow and black edged circle in the chest panel. There is some rivet detailing but appreciably less extensive than on other versions. 6" tall. The remote holds a single C cell. There is a small coiled spring antenna on the head.

The lighted eyes version was on sale in March 1957.
