ROBO DOG - WYANDOTTE - USA

Designed by Marvin Glass and patented in 1956. The design of Robo Dog is virtually identical to that of the Yoshiya space dogs, though the material is plastic and the action is different. The black plastic dog has a moving mouth, eyes and tail. It is still unclear who copied who.

The advert reads: "Hi I'm Robo. The robot dog with the magic touch."

Made by All Metal Products (Wyandotte) 25cm plastic battery op. Pressing his tuft of hair makes him advance with wagging tail, rolling eyes and flapping jaws. Makes a barking sound. The advert indicates a grey color exists but currently only the black has been reported. Animal. United States
