Tin remote control battery op robot. Zoomer body with a large dish antenna. Lighting eyes and radar dish. Remote control unit in the shape of a robot head. Ratchet/spanner in hand. There are two box versions. Coiled spring antenna on the head.
First released in 1956 and distributed by Wagner. It appeared in a number of catalogs that year A typical entry reads:
"A. RADAR ROBOT. He walks with bright lights shining from his eyes. He's sturdily built of enameled metal. 7 3/4" tall. Uses flashlight battery. Wt. 14 oz. 31A-$2.98"
Two distinct body colors are known: a light grey and a darker grey. Two remote control boxes exist: a "small face" and "big face". That would account for a possible four combinations of body color and battery box.
