ENGINE ROBOT - HORIKAWA - JAPAN

Small nine inch brown tin and plastic battery operated gear robot "with electronic room". Tinplate body, brown plastic legs, red plastic arms and head. The main innovation here is the use of a small red Attacking Martian head with fly eyes. The ears are white though they are shown as chrome on the box. A light in the head illuminates the translucent head and ears. The robot retains the red-green gear arrangement from the earlier version. Structurally it is very close to the later version of Mr Zerox and the later version Gear Robot: Attacking Martian head, tapered plastic legs and arm pressings.

This robot first appears in the Horikawa catalog for 1970 where it is described as a new item.
