This is essentially the same pressing as the Jet-O-Car, a space car made by Thomas Toys in the US and by Poplar (their sister company) in Wales. This version is based on the Poplar design.

The axles on the Raketenauto have not had to be melted to ensure a good fit. The Poplar version has welded axle holders. In addition the inside top of the Raketenauto is smooth, while the Jet-O-Car has distinct lines. The prototype Thomas version of this toy is marked Thomas Toy, but has no shooting tube installed.
