SUPER SITE MAGIC BULLET SPACE GUN - LIDO - USA

ADMINDATA

Hard plastic space gun with a telescopic sight running the full length of the gun. Click action with a captive reciprocating bullet that peeps out of the barrel when the trigger is pulled. The "magic" bullet never leaves the gun. 9.5" Grey, green blue and red versions with a cardboard holster. Super-Site Marked Super-Site, Automatic and Telescope. A whistle is built into the handle. This gun has the same body as the Royal Plastics Flash-O-Matic gun.

Despite its lack of traditional space lines this was definitely intended to be a space toy, as shown by the space graphics on the cardboard holster. The gun is featured in a 1950 Johnson and Smith catalog.

Interestingly, a version without the telescope was sold by the Argentine company Plastikon as the Revolver Interplanetario. It also features in this sightless form on the box art of the Plastikon Pistola Atomica gun.

The patent for the gun was published in 1946. Pat No. 147375. Inventor J Oshman.
