SQUIRT RAY NO 103 - PREMIER PLASTICS CO - USA
A 5-1/2" 13cm bulbous plastic water gun that was produced in assorted colors. It has a rubber stopper and brass tip. The trigger is fully enclosed by a trigger guard. There is a distinctive flat top with a small rear fin. Lightning flash molded in the sides.
Currently the earliest sighting is in the Premier Plastics catalog for 1953.
It also appears in the Park's Catalog for 1957. No #103 in the 1962 ad. (right)
This gun was also produced by other companies, including Bell Toys of England and PW of Germany. Box? Packaging?
A patent was filed in 1952 and granted in 1953. Interestingly the inventor is C Arliss.
