SPACE CLICKER RAY GUN - PALMER PLASTICS - USA
Two tone angular plastic space gun: one side in one color, the other side in a contrasting color. The gun has a very distinctive perforated muzzle with a jagged front sight. 5" 7.5cm
Star logo molded in the side along with spaceships, stars and a planet that looks like Saturn. A simple click action with moving hammer. A bagged example with header card indicates that it was released by Serve A Toy, Lee Products Co., Atlanta Ga. 1953. See also the larger (6") version, the Tom Corbett Space Patrol Clicker gun.
This gun was offered as a givaway with Curtiss Candy products in September 1953. A box of these guns recently surfaced carrying the Palmer Plastics company details. The gun was also sold as a free gift with a space set in 1953.
