VIGIA DEL ESPACIO ROBOTS SET - SEL-MAC - SPAIN

A boxed set of 6 plastic robots. Each silver and red plastic robot is 3" and constructed from a number of push-fit components: heads, arms, elbows. The robots have articulated arms and clear plastic space helmets with a metal antenna. Each figure has a space gun and space rifle. This is considered to be the first Spanish robot toy. The robot has also been seen in a silver and yellow combination. A blue and Portuguese version is known.

Also sold individually in small boxes. Barcelona. The invoice pictured dates these firmly to at least August 1955.
