Robotnut
Don't even get me started on astronauts...These two cover both bases and why were thereso many babies in space back in the 60's. www.robotnut.com
dratomic
The cost of a rocket launch increases with the amount of weight being sent into space. Since babies weigh less than adults, using them for space exploration keeps costs down. It's really just simply economics... :)

Mr. Jan
Hey Joe. While you are hooked up here. What are your votes for the top five most beatufil plastic robots. Seeing as how you are a major plastic collector. :D
Joe K.
Following your lead, Mr. Jan, here are my top five in ascending order, currently in my collection:#5 - Mysta-Bot (by Playtime), the white & black "male" variation. My sentimental favorite as it was the first one my wife bought me.#4 - 2-XL (by Mego) "The (8-Track Tape Player) Robot with a Personality". Not much to look at, but oh, what he has to say... And you might even learn something along the way!#3 - Big Max (by Remco). The ultimate "eye/hand co-ordination" teaching tool. (long before video games).#2 - The Original Mr. Machine (by Ideal). It's a robot, it's a puzzle, it's a lesson in mechanics. It has the ultimate play-value!#1 - Robert the Robot (by Ideal). The inspiration for the "Gang" and all the other skirted tin robots that followed. Ya gotta give credit, where credit is due! Now, for my "yet to be obtained wish list":#5 - Hysterical Harry. Love that grin!!!#4 - Electric Robot (by Marx) the tan color variation, in order to complete the trilogy.#3 - Suzie Robette#2 - Mr. Atom (by Advance Doll)#1 - Roboter 700These top three would form the perfect 'menage-a-tois'!!!
