robothut
I have done a few videos on YouTube showing some parts that Designed in 3d CAD for the Time Machine that I wanted 3d printed in Aluminum. So, I used a online service called PCBWAY. They do more than circuit boards they do all types of 3d printing. When the parts turned out perfect, I got to thinking how handy this could be for replacing the fragile pot metal parts in some space toys and robots that are always broken. One example would be the walk and bend levers in a Mr. Mercury robot. These parts being small would not cost much money if you can design them in 3d CAD. Here are some pictures of the lamp cages I had made in 3d printed aluminum.

ADMINDATA
Nice job This could be useful outside of toys too!
Jonydroid
It's good to see that the new technologies can help with some projects, That clear resin sample from PCB looks really good i am already imaging a 3 d robot like translucent colors like that would be amazing or parts. What about those metal 3d printers are they still super expensive? I mean for personal use...
robothut
Yes the home metal printers are expensive, but the prices and quality will keep coming down.
