KRANTI SPACE GUN - RAJ INDUSTRY - INDIAColorful green lithographed tin friction space gun with clear green plastic barrel made of cheap plastic. Noise and spark friction action. The box depicts and Indian soldier.

The design is based on the Japanese N in Circle Universe Space Gun, with the lithography altered to suit the Indian taste). It is, however, a different construction using tabs to hold the halves together. The Universe Gun has a crimped construction. See also the Rekha Gun and Rubina Gun. Asia

LANCIA RAZZA - ARCO FALC - ITALYA space shooting game, the name translates as "Rocket Launcher". The target is a spring loaded rocket fixed to a tripod. Hitting a target disk launches the rocket. A blue hard plastic space gun shoots plastic darts . The gun by Gherzi is based on the Cosmic Ray Gun by Palitoy.

LANZALLAMAS SPACE PISTOL - BERNABEU GISBERT - SPAINA plastic space gun. An angular pistol design, friction action with spark. Large telescopic sight, and extensive red plastic spark windows on the top and sides. Produced in chrome-silver and black versions.

Lanzallamas translates as Flamethrower. Despite the box art which appeals to a James Bond audience, the basic design of the space gun is the same as used for a Star Trek gun and for the Hamilton's Invaders Grenade Pistol. It also appeared as a prop gun in Lost in Space.

There are two versions of this gun: one has a long clear chrome tipped plastic barrel that contains colored marbles which are illuminated when the trigger is pulled, the other has a blue plastic tip with a moving red light insert.

LASER RAY GUN - TIM-MEE - USAPlastic flashlight space gun with Morse signalling feature. This is the 1967-1972 version of the Norton-Honer original. The hump on the back has lost its compass, and a long silver telescopic sight has been added. It still has the two buttons on the side. The lens assembly also appears to have been simplified, it looks like a push-fit. Laser Ray Gun. It was produced in a range of colors.

This unusual gun has a conical tinplate body with a plastic handle and an assortment of other plastic components: small rocket sight, ribbed barrel etc. There is a tin panel on the handle. The design on the gun is a striking abstract blue, white and red pattern. Battery operated flashlight action with a buzzer noise. 7" 17cm long. Takes two AA (R6) batteries. Made in the GDR. 1970s.

This is a version of the Remco Electronic Spacel Gun original. The window box version has identical graphics to the 1965 Captain Buck Flash Buzz Ray Gun.

LAZER-BLAZER - MATTEL - USAA very large (26", 65cm) plastic bazooka gun. This is a life-size version of the Mat Mason Chemical Gun. Battery operated light action; a crank on the side generates the sound. This gun did not go into production and was only released in small numbers to test the market. 1965

LE PISTOLET COSMIC - JADALI - FRANCEFrench Cosmic Gun. Black plastic raygun with a large bulbous red plastic lens housing on the end of the barrel. This contains red and green filters to alter the color of the beam. Red telescopic sight. Two sets of jagged fins are molded into the barrel. Rayon Sideral "Cosmic" is molded into the side. A belt clip hole is molded into the handle. Two sets of fins on the barrel.

There is a version with a yellow lens molding.

Battery operated flashlight action. Based on the Buck Rogers Sonic Ray Gun. Norton-Honer Buck Rogers Sonic Ray. The closest gun to this one is the Lone Star Sonic Beam Gun: it employs the same double set of fins on the barrel, giving a sawtooth appearance.

LONE STAR AQUA-JET GUN - LONE STAR DCMT - ENGLANDThis transparent orange plastic space water gun with telescopic sight. This is a later release of the Dan Dare Aqua-Jet but without the Dan Dare licensing. The wording Dan Dare has been removed from the stock and replaced with Lone Star.

Lone Star created their own molds based on the Futuristic Products Strato Gun. The three round details on the gun are their own contribution.

LOST IN SPACE ROTO-JET GUN - MATTELL - USAThis large silver plastic modular space gun consists of two main hard plastic pieces which can be assembled into a larger rifle or used as stand-alone weapons. The gun has a telescopic sight, a whistle attachment and shoots two Roto-Missiles spinner saucers. The gun produces a loud pop when the trigger is pulled. When the smaller unit is connected to the front of the larger unit, it forms a sub-carbine and when reversed, forms a rifle. The box indicates four configurations.

The gun was also sold in a plain mail-away box by Sears. There is also an unlicensed Japanese version which does not reference Lost in Space. (CMDDD)

The gun has a circular cutout at the back containing a paper decal: in this case the decal has a pattern of three lightning bolts unlike the usual pattern of three overlapping circle.


A blue version with yellow attachments is depicted in advertising for the gun.

Marked Empire, so despite being marked "England" on the box this is a Hong Kong gun.

An identical version was also produced by LYVIA.


There are no fins molded into the barrel, a feature that links it to the other Magic Gun by W in a circle, and the Flower brand Plastic Torch Gun. There is a dial set into the bottom of the handle.

This is a Barcelona made copy of the Co-Ma Marziana gun. The design was registered in Spain 1954.

The main feature of this gun is that the launch point is set at a 45 degree angle at the tip of the gun. The spinners are wound to load the gun and the trigger releases them. Blister carded. MARTIAN ROCKET LAUNCHER GUN - MERCURY PLASTICS - USAThe Martian Guided Whistle Rocket or Bloon Gun. Jet Blast Bloon Gun is molded into the handle of this 9 inch long plastic space gun from the early 1950s. Comes with special attachment that fits to "bloons" (balloons) and allows them to be connected to the gun. They are then inflated by blowing down the back of the barrel and the trigger used to release them. Guns are usually two-color combinations of red, blue and yellow.

There are two versions:
Top: first version with a sight and a stabilizer ring. Sold on a detailed backing card.

Second version (shown) with a sight and stabilizer ring. Sold bagged with a small plainer header card.

MARTIAN TRIPLE SHOT SKY-GUN LAUNCHER - MERCURY PLASTICS - USAPlastic satellite-shooting gun. The material is a dense polythene. There is a large plastic winder at the rear. The wording "SKY GUN" is molded on the top fin. This is wound and when the trigger is pulled a spinner is fired. The long nose allows the firing of all the missiles at once.

This is one of two versions of the gun, the difference being the size of the top and side fins. Several colors are known. Sold bagged with headed card. The version on the left has the word Martian in the title; the version on the right is called just Sky-Gun-Launcher. It was advertised in newspapers from October 1950 onwards

The gun was patented in 1951. Pat No. 164398 Inventor Joseph B Barricks.

The original Sky-Gun (without the hump) was produced by Propello Toys of Des Moines, Iowa in 1950.

MARTIAN WATER-BUG GUN - MERCURY PLASTICS - USAAn unusual plastic water pistol. The V-shaped gun consists of a series of connected spheres and a pair of plastic antennas giving it a bug or caterpillar appearance. By moving a lever at the back it is possible to alter the direction of the water jet. Various colors including red and light blue.

There are two package versions. The first is bagged with a large backing card. The later version is bagged with a smaller and simpler header card.

The gun is very similar to the Coma Astrale gun, but the detailing is quite different. Blue and red versions known. Sold with a printed cardboard holster.

MASTER FLYING LA SUPERPERFORADORA DEL ESPACIO - GEYPER - SPAINA combination of flying saucer and space gun. The gun comprises a circular plastic flying saucer with a central dome. Inside are two astronauts and antennas. The saucer has a plastic handle attached to the base so that it can be held in the hand. The saucer has two large engines which accept spring loaded spinners. The set comes with a pair of space goggles.

Seen in grey and light blue versions. The box has Dan Dare inspired artwork which adds to its charm. Geyper's advertising dates this to 1954-6. Superperforadora translates loosely as "Super Punch".

MASTER GUN - GEYPER - SPAINPlastic spring driven space gun, shoots spinners. This is another appearance the ubiquitous spinner gun. The gun has Master Gun molded on the sides and has a distinctive finned muzzle. The box art and name are similar to the Geyper Master Flying Gun. The art work owes much to the Dan Dare Planet Gun.

There are two box versions, both with the same picture though the style of drawing alters. The top version has a harsher, comic book look while the lower (probably the older) has a more naturalistic style.

Advertised in 1955.

METRALLETA ESPACIAL APOLO XX - BERNABEU GISBERT - SPAINThis bright, and colorful space rifle is 22 inches long, and made from hard plastic, in a rainbow of neon colors. Marked Bernabeu Gisbert on the box, though the gun has the mark of VFerre. This toy manufacturer is fond of transparent guns with whirring gears, and lots of action. By pulling the trigger, you set the gears in motion, there is also a hammer inside the front magazine that is actuated by a cam on a large orange gear, and strikes the plastic shell once with each firing. There are various color combinations.

Two box versions shown, one of which is full of cartoon characters. Date? See-thru
