Finishing up on the outer K9 Mk1 box since it arrived somewhat damaged due to Customs having a look inside. I redid that outer clear display cover and had to make those sharp bends for the top area and another for that side area bend this took time but turned out nice!

I have now started on the inner box repair for the Black Dalek sec which arrived partly damaged due to customs having a look inside to make sure all is well.  The outer box will be done last, the inner hold/display box stands 20" tall and once opened is 45" long. What I love about these Interactive Dalek box's is how Character Options added those cool looking photo display for them. Shown here is the inner box opened up to be reinforced with outer card box glued on the sides for long term support. We can now see the full photo of this unique inner box layout.  This is one big box for repair!

Thanks,  The inner holder box is almost done the sides were made stronger with outer cardboard cut pieces that were glued to all 3 sides and bottom. That front clear inner retainer arrived cracked and was repaired from the inside with tape and then sprayed with Flex Seal in white, after 48 hours that front retainer was strong again. Not many arrive in nice condition due to the fact its a thin retainer and the Dalek weight kills it!

Now comes the fun part, had to take the Dalek Sec box totally apart to replace damaged clear front outer view panel and while at it to reinforce those inner bend areas.

They have such great artwork and colors on them, once apart the box length to work on is 42" long by 30" wide its a big box!

The torn-worn clear front display panel was removed and a new clear panel was done using that old torn one. The clear panel was cut and v cuts were done then creased in 2 areas that was fun as not to tear along the way. That new clear panel is now glued and fiber tapped along the sides. Unlike the other Dalek interactive boxes the Dalek sec box has 2 sides to the box that needs to be carefully cut to lay out the panels so the clear sheet can be glued.

The cardboard panels are now laid out to be glued, the length laid out is 5 feet long, this is a fun project just like working on a robot one step at a time!

A perfect addition for my collection is this Robby standing at around 14" tall and if you look closely you can even see a green color at the voice tube.
