This little robot is very LOUD!!!!

This is one of the robots that I found in my early day of robot collection back in 2013. I bid this broken vintage tin toy "as is" because it is not working. Unfortunately the original box was also missing. Being new in this hobby I found it interesting to overhaul and made this little poor guy alive.

This vintage robot was produced in 1960's and has rust on the misaligned battery compartment door which was popular due to leaking of battery acid. The battery contact was bad due to corrosion otherwise the litho and paint was still in shinny condition. The plastic wheels were still in good shape without deformation. Glad to see the gears were all made in metal so there was no need to find replacement parts. It has a sound chamber with grills on the robot head which make this robot sound very very loud.

It's amazing to see the complicated gearing works in harmony even though it is almost 60 years old.....

Isn't it a good feeling to fix these wonderful old toys? Hopefully your Mr. Zerox will last another 60 years!
