RoboDerby Posted March 24, 2020 Share Posted March 24, 2020 I had to do some digging on IMDb to sort it out as, even the credits at the beginning of the YouTube video have it misspelled. But, sure enough, it is Shemp Howard, of the 3 Stooges. Apparently, born Samuel Horwitz. “Shemp” because this is how his mother pronounced Sam in her Litvak accent. I loved the Stooges as a kid and even did a school report on the subject. Another fun fact is that after putting a car through a barbershop window while learning to drive, Shemp never drove again. robothut Posted March 24, 2020 Author Share Posted March 24, 2020 Its clear that Shemp is not the actor in the robot suit since he is 2 feet shorter "all the stooges were short" than the guy in the suit.
