When you say “they”, do you mean phone service employees or unauthorized vandals? And yes the stupid folks are doing their best to drag this catastrophe out in all kinds of spectacularly stupid ways.

I am an optimist when it comes to the virus. I believe we will eventually get through this like we (as in the human race) did with the 1918 pandemic. But then again there wasn't a huge powerful mechanism for misinformation that split the population and turned us against each other at that time. Then - united we stood. Now - divided we fall.

I think the devistating effects of the internet on the fabric of percieved reality his having a huge effect on our current crisis and will be with us a lot longer. This a radical thing to say but I'm reminded of Ted Kazinsky's manifesto that said that the (at that time) upcoming level of technology was to be devistating to society. He was absolutely wrong to commit murders but there was a lot of truth in his warning. I see that now.

let's put it this way, if I were to bet someone I could convince 100,000 people within a week that the Pope started his day having sex with a chicken, it would be so easy to win that bet with just a computer and an internet connection. Any conspiracy theory that involves the media being owned and ran by Dr. Evil is much easier to spread. We are becoming our own worst enemy.

We spent so many years worrying about atomic bombs but it turns out bias confirmation is as devistating and actually being deployed for huge damage to society..

Well said Brian

This is what I say.

I'm sick to death of conspiracy theories and ignorant complacency.

Still today in London there were morons congrigating in parks.

God knows how many more infected by this selfish behaviour.

Our NHS staff at breaking point.

Another 708 dead from the virus today in the UK and the daily death rate still rising.

And it's not just the elderly and people with underlying illnesses that are dying.

In Spain their hospitals are under so much strain if you are old your back of the que and the likelihood is you will be sedated and not treated there simply are not enough ventilators and specialist equipment available

All the 'it's all hype' head in the sand idiot's want to start getting real.

We get this drummed into us every day

Stay home Protect the NHS Stay Safe.

I'm listening.

The rate the death toll has increased in New York is alarming.

I hope you all are listening.

Stay safe😔

Same here in Georgia. Just stupidity from the Governor and many citizens. Yesterday the Governor put us on a shelter in place order claiming that he only just recently was informed that asymptomatic carriers could spread the virus, something I’m guessing most of us have been aware of for months now.

Also as a result of his order, public beaches on the coast of the state which had been shut down by the local authorities in those communities were somehow reopened due to contingencies in the Governor’s orders.

In addition, the belt way, a popular recreation trail in Atlanta which has been left open was shown on the news to be crowded today with as many, if not more people than a typical Saturday. I anticipate that due to the lack of consideration and intelligence of so many, this disaster will drag on for months longer than if people just kept their butts at home for a few weeks.

All this while I sit at home hoping that my bank account isn’t emptied before film productions resume and I can get back to work. Divided we fall indeed Don.

But I am doing my best to just be patient and have faith that this too shall pass...eventually.

It seems to me some people in a position of authority (and I don't mean the governor of Georgia) give out completely conflicting information and advice, no surprise people still turn out in their droves.

Stay home and stay safe. If you get sick and die, your wife will sell your Robots for what you told her you paid for them...

I'm no fan of Boris, but I wish him well.

Who would have thought that Brexit would become such a non-event in a couple of weeks.

Yes Brian who would.

Old Bozzer always looks a bit pulled about but must say he did look ill when he was applauding the NHS.

Similar here in Canada.  No planes, trains or automobiles going.  Silence like I've not heard in 50 years or more, it recalls the days when grasshoppers would jump by the dozen as you walked the lawn and you could HEAR them.   Seems like a Twilight Zone episode we're all in but I'm not sure which one, "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street"  or "5 Characters in search of and Exit" or maybe "Time Enough at Last", could be a combo of all those.

Best regards to you all where ever on the planet you are, we're all in this together.

A step aside from coronavirus Mike. I'm curious about the car in your profile photo. I  have seen several and could'nt find their names and manufacturer. And i couldn't decide if they were space toys or spacey racer cars.
