Mine cost a bit less.
It 's just a fantastic and fun way to travel John!
John must be a local hero in that town.....It's a clever and apparently practical carriage,
John, just curious...do you and Adam Savage know each other?
Nice to revisit your cart, John. Time flies!
I have many videos of my robot cart up on you tube . Here is a test run with the grand kids.
Brilliant. Was the rickshaw driver robot based on the Target Earth robot?
Yes. I had made 6 full scale metal repro's of the target earth robot for Fred Barton Productions and in order to make metal scale robots you first make card board templates. So I used very dense card board in fact its "skid" card board that is placed on wood pallets befor they load the pallets with what ever they are packing. So its very dense, not like a cardboard box type carboard at all, its more like flexible wood. Any way I took the templates and painted them so they would be water proof and used that s the body for the robot.
John that is one of my favourite creations of yours.
Here is the part 1 video of the build. You can see the robot walk with out the body installed about midway.
Part 2 talks about how it works.
Part 3 , outside test 1.
