space.trucks
Sorting images to do some t-shirts for a November vendor event & picked a few out to share. Surfaces are cedar shingles, each about 6x16 inches. Acrylics with water soluble crayon. Zombie Russian Cosmonaut Eating His Own Hand, 2012, picked by the printer as the one to print. Zombie Captain Kirk with Busted Phaser, 2013 Cosmonaut's Smoke Break, 2013 Alien Kid's Breakfast Cereal, 2014 Zombie Cleanup Crew with Exploded Head, 2013 Zombie Cleanup Crew with Meathook, 2014, hoping to print this one too. T The Yarfing Cosmonaut, 2014, 8x8 inches on illustration board. Astronaut With Flag, 2015 Zombie Yarfage, 2012, and this one is definitely going on a shirt. That'll sell. 6Stelab9
Underground, nice and fun! My favorite is The Yarfing Cosmonaut. Nevertheless, I wouldn't like to meet those persons.
Andyman
I love your bold style and heavy use of brush. The zombie humor is a bonus. Any one of them would make a most excellent t-shirt.
space.trucks
Cheers Guys! The two that we went with were Zombie Yarfage & this one, which was called "Someone Fetch a Priest" after a Bowie lyric, 7.5x16 inches, acrylics and pastel crayon. Here's a few others; Zombie Windows and Palmer-Thing Out Having A Few Beers, 8x16. Windows is complaining "You think all girls care about is how you can split your head in half & shoot a tendril across the room." The Zombie Mill, Hamilton Center for the Arts 2013. (I wanted to make it look like they were popping out of the chimney door.) Return of the Zombie Mill, Hamilton Center for the Arts 2014. Toxic Zombie Flame Corps Trooper, 2014, 24x36 inches. Starship Troopers Mobile Infantry Cap Trooper, 2014, 10x12 inches. Cosmonaut's Dead Bic Lighter, 2014 12x20 inches. For a long time I only painted on scrap wood, the more chewed up and textured the better. No need to frame it, just stick a wire on the back between a couple of screws. Cosmonaut with Walkie-Talkie, 2014, 5x8 inches. Cosmonaut's Green Suit, 2014, 5x8 inches. Zombie with Crashed iFone, 2015 and a self portrait image on paper. Was burnt out on doing them and abandoned the formula soon after. Three Zombies, 2017. Was sent home by a gallery director who specifically requested new zombie paintings for a group exhibit then said "These aren't so fun anymore" upon seeing the results. My response was they aren't supposed to be, just better paintings. She chose only older examples for the gig and not one of them sold. Haven't set foot in the place since.
