Martian Gil
Hi all, I'd forgotten about these odd spacemen until I found them hidden in the back of another shelf. I think they are Spanish? "Tribu" is marked on the Header cards of each. They both came with oddly formed equipment on sprues - I think a gun for the red one, and a malformed walkie talkie with the green one. The red spaceman is around 12cm tall - and blow molded. The green spaceman is about 10 cm tall. Solid plastic. You wouldn't have to work hard to convince me that different companies made them Cheers,
Brian..
Odd how they altered the scale. Quite neat figures, though. Here's a bagged one with that walkie talkie: There's aways a chance they're from Argentina.

I think it's a photo cameraand other items including a walkie talkie, that pic should be from ebay, I bought mine from the same seller, not only it came of wrong color (it had to be red) but cello was open and camera missing. sure he sold me a leftover. Anyway I like Martian Gil's greenish one. It is certainly a clone from the Marx 4 inch spacemen series. TRIBU is a Mexican bootleg maker. This is mine
Alain Lapointe
Here you can see the full equipment, a rocket based blister was sold also under same name. Notice the Superman figure which also in this case is cloned from Marx (Spider-Man marvel series)

Martian Gil
Thanks for the reminder Alain! I now remember the camera, knife, and light as being on the sprue as well. The irony of having an assortment of useful implements in space... and being a rigid blow molded toy... without open hands, lol! charming little misfits. cheers! If you notice, the accessories were copied from the Marx Astronaut set, except the oxygen tank the rest is almost the same
