WmRShaw
I obtained a wind up robot (see attached pics) recently. Seems to be from the 70s. Only says "made in hong kong' on the back. Has a sparking mechanism on the inside that lights up the red chest (guns) when it walks - pretty cool. Can anyone confirm when it was made? By whom? Did it have a name? What is a good resource for identifying 70s wind up robots as I have a growing collection? Or is the collecting interest so low or the variations so numerous, that specifics are not available? Action Robot
Gorgeous! Hadn’t seen him yet. I love the plastic Hong Kong windups, and they are very affordable.
WmRShaw
Thanks. The Robotapedia description is right: it really does show well next to more expensive models
