I like the Blue one. Thanks Golddalek. Now that you mention it, I need a blue robot as well to complete the shelf. It seems to be the only color of the six that fall into the basic primary and secondary color groups that isn’t included. Maybe I’ll move the blue mini Radicon over there to solve this. RoboDerby
A great addition this week to the Super Cabinet, the Daiya Laser 008 robot. I really love the colorful artwork on the box as well and as this one did not come boxed, I picked up a replica box from Toy Tent. It displays wonderfully with this red charmer, who holds its own on the shelf with its larger cabinet mates, despite its lesser stature. A handsomely lithoed delight. RoboDerby
I can’t help but be excited to share my newly added 1960s ALPS Moon Explorer. It oddly arrived with some sort of white residue in nearly every nook and cranny. But a few hours of cleaning and this baby looks fantastic. Even better, just as advertised it is fully functional. Runs like a dream in fact. Here are some photos of before the cleanup. Photos taken after the cleanup. Finally a video of this awesome vintage tin in action. Ditto, and what a nice addition to your collection! I think the white residue is from paste wax that was applied to the robot years ago.

I was thinking something like this as well. But, even if one did wax their robot, would it make sense to wax the plastic head as well? Not to say this isn’t the case here. I think you are probably correct. In the end all is well. Thanks for the kind comments gang.
Morbius
Beautiful, congrats!!!! CLASSIC!! This one isn't the one with the usual moniker 'Cocaine Robot'. That's another fella altogether.
RoboDerby
Two fresh arrivals! I have watched as several examples of both versions of the Marx Moon Creature have chomped their way across the Ebay listings over the past year. But either I was outbid or the examples were incomplete or not in the best shape. So I am thrilled that within two weeks of each other, I discovered and was able to purchase both versions separately with boxes, all in remarkable condition. I love these little chompy buggers and the box art is wonderful as well. Photos and video below.

Sparkrobot
Try and requisition an entire wall somewhere in your house to display all your ever growing collection. Some great robots there. You remind me of myself when I first started collecting. I loved bulking it out with a few repros which I would gradually replace with vintage robot's as time went by. Well, I’ve got 2 cabinets so far and can likely fit in one more before I need to move into a bigger place, which I have been meaning to do anyway the past couple of years. As for repros, I have a few. But I do try to resist the temptation now to purchase them as I’d rather go with something original instead, especially as I overcrowd the cabinets that I currently have. I am trying to stay focused on the vintage toys this year allowing room of course for John and Brian’s work as well as a few more PapaSans should they pop up. Thanks for the kind comments and encouragement over the past year everyone!
