Thanks Brian--I gave it a layer of Rustoluem All surfaces primer(White) and that worked very well to preserve the detail and give the paint something to grab onto- I am using orange enamel paint---That Auto paint idea is great as these enamels dry slowly (I think you had already said that in an earlier post) I wish I had remembered that, but this is looking good so far!
