Phil R
As many of you know I have an extensive vintage flashlight collection that's kind of a crossover to my space toys. Years ago I bought a Captain Ray-O-Vac flashlight. I now have the companion 10x20 poster I placed in a spacey frame to go with the flashlight. Phil R
I forgot the Ray-o-Vac booklet. I also pictured more space and "spacey" flashlights.

Phil R
I actually have about 300 but these are most of the "spacey" looking ones. Joe K has helped with the collection. This one is called the Red Head It has a glass insert and is coveted by auto collectors and worth $250-$800. based on condition. This one about $500.+

Andyman
Very cool, Phil. Is there a message board for flashlight collectors?
Phil R
Andy, there are several information sites including a reference site by brand and year , about 1400 flashlights. I also get a quarterly beautiful 4 color newsletter. The guy who does the newsletter is starting a website this year.

Joe K.
Here's a cropped photo from a 1960 Sears Christmas catalog I wish the photo showed more of the "Rocket Light", but it does not. Anybody recognize it? Can provide additional info? Phil?
Phil R
Can't tell much by this. Will look around. Looks like the start of a fin on the right.
Phil R
Update. I think this is the flashlight in question called Space Jet Rocketship Flashlight. The front is longer in the color photo but that doesn't mean the b&w is a true representation. I've never seen it before and don't have it in my collection.
