Recommended Posts

Its time to add some history of what Osaka Tin Toy Institute has done for the world with there Reproductions and like MH they have faded away so I will be adding photos of what they have given us.

First up we have the Walking Astroman w/Sparks as a windup from the Tin Age collection this version was done in Red with only 300 makes.

The Red color released in 2003.

Even though Osaka did not advertise the Astroman as such with the 2001 Space Odyssey these suits with there colors can be seen throughout the movie some in a split second as in storage areas.

Osaka did very well with this run of the Wind-up Tin Robby The Robot in both colors and that Great looking Art box both had  ray guns. There were 2 types of inner cards done for this version One for the World the other for Japan only. Black version was RT02B  Silver version was RT02S.

Now we have Osaka's 2 versions of Mr Atomic made in Japan around 1993. They did very well with both runs with quality and looks.

OT07S silver version with 600 makes with serial # 1-600

OT07B blue  version with 600 makes with serial # 601-1200

Osaka also had Rotomatic cockpit driver robots as shown here with the T-28 as its driver and gun shooter in the OT26Black-Silver-Red and Blue. All of these came out in 2007 with only 50 makes each with there own unique rear serial number plaque.

Osaka had begun there run with T-28 Tetsujin robot drivers. Released in 2005 we now come to the OT22S in Orange and the OT22B in Silver both had 50 makes each with back serial # plates. The orange version had T-28 in a light blue and the silver version had T-28 in a dark blue. They had begun to use AA batteries for power which made this rotomatic lighter. The bottom 3 color lights lit up as it rotated and the color Box Art with matching robot made it very collectible. The Orange Serial #s were 1 to 50. The Silver Serial #s were 51 to 100.

Now that the OT22 version had ended, years later Osaka along with MH together made a few samples to be sold using NOS parts. Two are seen here done in Bare Metal however the T-28 inner driver is in Gold with white arms and the other done in Blue with its Thinner arms and it has those white upper ball controls. They also made a Gold version and all still have the same inner tin Litho with its T-28 on the front.
