Phil R Posted November 18, 2016 Share Posted November 18, 2016 I recently bought an 11" 1940s? Buick hood ornament with the intent to use it in a rocket build project. I finished the project using sheet metal,a steel bowl, a brushed steel ladle and small glass lamp shade. The wings are one piece with metallic red gradated to gold. The glass shade was reversed to give the impression of motion mounted on the steel bowl with a threaded bolt. The bowl is painted black to blue with holes drilled that project light inside the bowl.
