Tinman
Although I try to avoid newly produced robots and space toys I purchased this from Robot Island...just couldn't pass up the great lithography with the Robby-style robot; the car is something I haven't seen before and measures 7.5 inches. Tinman
I now see they have different versions of this car and this one is by far the best; hope they do other space cars in the future!
Tinman
I found St. John Tin Toys on Facebook and was gonna ask if there were plans for more space cars; this was at the top of the page dated October 30th...some initial art for another car called the "Space Racer." Tinman
Robot Island shipped the "Space Patrol" car today but through the St. John Tin Toy Facebook page I found even the bottom of the car has some great lithography and think it's cool that the person who designed the artwork is identified. A better pic of the Robby-style robot:
Tinman
This morning I received a response from St. John Tin Toys via Facebook and was told the "Space Racer" would be released around March 2017 and they're currently working on the graphics for the "robot driver." I suggested they use Magnus Robot Fighter comics for inspiration for the robot driver vise putting another wind-up robot in the car...they "Liked" my comment so it'll be interesting to see if they took my advice; I said it would be more interesting for the collector. Tinman
I received the Space Patrol car from Robot Island and even found the box to be top notch, very high quality. Highly recommended!

Tinman
Here's a poor pic of the upcoming Space Racer's robot driver...looks like another Robby-inspired robot. I contacted the company via Facebook and they said they'd post a better pic in the near term.

Tinman
Printing has started for the upcoming Space racers...although I don't understand how the drivers will be added cause I looks like they have tabs vice being incorporated into the big lithography sheet. Roboto
Looking good and yet Osaka and MH no longer have machines to make it happen but St.John Tin Toys is still making great Tin Litho toys.
Tinman
Through FB I mentioned to St. John I didn't understand how the car's driver will be added and was told they'd post a pic next month when the car is ready.
Tinman
Well, I thought the "Space Racer" car was was going to be the same type of car as the Space Patrol car but no, it can be seen in the lower-right of the pic with the raised Robby-style driver. More pics to come.
