More Buck rockets including the diorama model Mark and I made which is 22" long, the paper popup, different color midgetoys, the new model Jim and I did from the failed web series, and the new models recently done for sale.

Received this nice example of the Buck Rogers Solar Scouts Badge for a steal of a price...and it's nicer than the auction pics show.  I seem to remember these going for way more than I paid, maybe everybody that wants one has one already?

It's possible that the prices are falling a bit for the reason you specified, Martian Gil.  We're obviously all getting older, and the generation that these pieces appealed to the most is leaving us rapidly.  As with the fields of dime novels and cast iron toys, the biggest group of collectors for vintage Buck items is gone and the prices can be expected to drop some.  But Buck holds his value better because he has continued in altered form to modern times, and also because his deco styled spaceships and fanciful weaponry are pure art and hold a great deal of eye appeal.

As to your sharp example of the entry level Solar Scouts Member Badge, without knowing how much you spent I can't estimate where your purchase sits in relation to others, but it has always been the most affordable of the three 1936 examples.  The 1936 Buck Rogers Solar Scouts Chief Explorer Badge and the 1936 Buck Rogers Space Ship Commander Whistle Badge are both much scarcer and sell for considerably more if their red or blue enamel paint accent additions are still nicely preserved.
