Roboto
I thought it was time to start this forum on the World of Planet Robot. For me they were the last to make great Reproduction from the Space Explorer thru to the Winky Robot. They recently stopped the on-line shopping store and there site is now gone. Over time I have managed to save quite a bit of there photos for all to see something about them. They were a True Limited Production of the Tin Toy and Space toys that were meticulously crafted in extremely limited and numbered edition for all of us to buy. They will be missed. Roboto
I loved there Winky Robots and they were made extremely well . The bare metal version was the rarest model to find and was limited to only 50 Makes. Followed by the Red Winky which could only have been bought in a matching serial# set with the Space Explorer. Planet Robot would always add a few great looking post cards to the Robots as they went out to there owners.
Roboto
Planet Robot loved to add colors to the inside of the special edition robots like the Winky Robots and then used a string/paper type to bind them. The cost for them was well worth since now they are gone and not many come up for sale for those looking to get the full color series.

Roboto
Another true Classic from Planet Robot were the Series 102 Space Explorer Robots with there movable Antennas. The White Space Explorer special was released as part of a set pair with the Red Winky they featured enhancements like the red lithoed chest meter and the antennas were now located on the rear right shoulders unlike the other colored repros that had the antenna on the front left shoulders. The last time I spoke with Planet Robot they had located 2 Bare metal Explorers which we both bought just in time before they closed shop.
Roboto
The Space explorers had that great looking hammered paint finish to them in the Gray and Blue. They also had an outer wrap to the box with its own logo not many came that way but most of the time they arrived as such if you belonged to the long term membership and then you could buy specials and have on other models a special colored yellow band wrap added. Roboto
Planet Robot added the Special set with matching serial #s with the Winky and Explorer in there Red/White colors the set was #102-ss. They even added the inner matching Red colored packing along with matching numbered cards. This set sold out very fast I was lucky to have found the set below direct from Planet Robot. Seems they had this new set still sealed up and forgotten about till they did an inventory search .They arrived with a few great looking cards.
