Space Doom Ltd Edition

The Space Doom another one of my most favorite collectable new robot. There life began in the summer of 2006. They had different color of each series and Metal House tried to release a new color every 2 months. A few were made with moving arms and they had lit eyes but this also was not on all models. I will try to list them all on here with there limited number range and with there many color looks. Only a few came with rare TV space themes like dinos and space kids with astronauts shooting at Martians as most had the standard outer space videos. The first and rare one is the all Black version with red boots and chrome eyes. Many of the rare ones came with a white proto-type box as there main box had yet to be finished also the TV trim came in a silver or gold finish. Once the box was done I loved the saying on the side of it.

There next color was the Blue body color with red arms and boots and they now had a colorful box to go with them. 25 were made with this color combo. Also the red body version was released with blue arms and boots a reversal of colors . 25 were made of this color also.

As the above color combinations were being made 2 were made perhaps by mistake or just to see how it would look with the blue body with red arms and boots and a red head was added. This rare version did not have the inner lit head. The above versions were 25 makes of each color and these add ons were #26 and #27. No certificate with numbers came with these 2.

Metal House also made a very small run on an all Red doom version. Only 3 were made with no inner lit head yet. Came with the standard box and space theme. Most of the Space Dooms were being made with chrome fly eyes with only a very few in an all metal steel finish and red eyes. The same applied to there ring head collars and ring shoulders which were also finished in chrome .

During this time another all black version was done .This one had black boots not red. This version also had inner lit head with chrome eyes and head collar but the arm collars were in a tin silver finish. The battery latch was done in black unlike the other versions which had them in white. Only 3 were made and they turned out to be proto-types. The black versions may have been just that because later versions appeared with colorful arms and head. They came out with white box only. The black versions were also from there first makes.

While we are on the solid color Space Dooms an all purple version was also made as what turned out to be a proto-type. There were only 2 made of them and they also had the inner lit head. Now this Doom had the purple boots with the head and arm collars chrome however the fly eyes were just a tin silver color. The battery close arm was white and as all had the back left trade mark stamp in white.

Metal House released 2 Metallic Silver version Dooms. One was all silver with red eyes and boots total of 50 makes. This run had 3 made that came in a white box it had a new feature moving arms as he walked. This version also came with lit eyes. The other version was all silver with red eyes and boots along with red arms. This one also had 50 makes and came with lit eyes seems a few more now had eyes lit. All collars were chrome and they had a silver outer TV frame.

They then released one very hard to find version. The body in black with red head and arms and red boots. The eyes were chrome and lit along with the head and arm collars. There were 4 makes and they had the rare dino video on the screen. They came with the paper work. Another version was also made however it had the arm collars in the tin silver with black boots and a gold frame for the TV. Here is a quick look with the lights out on the screen.

As the Space Dooms were being made another rare limited run of 3 were made. This one had the all black body with metallic silver arms and head. The inner head was lit and the fly eyes were black with red gel inserts. The video was a rare one also has Spacemen shooting rays guns at Martians. This one has the chrome collars but came with a white proto-type box also has the moving arms as he walks which not many came with.

In early 2007 what was to be the final run of Space Dooms was released. It was the purple doom which had black body with arms and head in a non metallic purple. Came with chrome collars and eyes that were lit. The total makes were 25. This version also had the gold finished frame for the video screen.

This purple final run Doom was supposed to have been made with purple metallic finish to the arms and head but seems a mistake may have happened and the final make was done in the above flat purple. After the series was over 3 original purple metallics were left. They had the same features as the flat version and came with the factory box. Seems as time went on other very limited proto-types and or mistakes were out there looking to be found.
